The main source of cyber compromise and identity theft today often stems from online registrations on websites. Whether through the sale of personal information or security breaches, users are at risk of having their data compromised. Email-based registrations are a fundamental aspect of online activities. EPRIVO Private Identity Guard introduces an innovative privacy solution aimed at safeguarding user identities during various online interactions such as travel bookings, online purchases, or newsletter sign-ups. The concept revolves around the use of monitored virtual addresses featuring cryptographic authentication, privacy enforcement, confidentiality measures, and associated privacy services.
Using EPRIVO is straightforward. By utilizing an EPRIVO app-generated virtual address instead of a regular email when signing up for online services or updating existing accounts, users can shield their contact email from potential compromise. Monitoring each virtual address within the app is crucial to ensure privacy protection. It's recommended to use a unique virtual address per registered account or domain, enhancing privacy, authentication, and monitoring against privacy breaches.
EPRIVO offers users the ability to manage up to 30 monitored domains concurrently with unique virtual addresses. Detection of suspected privacy leaks is promptly reported within the app, empowering users to take action by disabling compromised virtual addresses and generating new ones for added security. Through this vigilant monitoring, individuals can identify services that fail to protect their privacy adequately and opt out of using them in the future.
Received emails on virtual addresses are locally monitored on the app and forwarded to the actual contact email only upon passing security checks. Encrypted storage on the EPRIVO service ensures confidentiality through zero-knowledge encryption. Email decryption occurs exclusively within the app to ensure that users maintain full control over accessing decrypted emails.
